It is common knowledge that music composer AR Rahman has launched his own production house. The music maestro, it is heard, was keen to extend his portfolio, and so he decided to produce movies all over India.
Keen to back films of all languages, Rahman, it is said, will begin by launching a film down South. AR Rahman is in Mumbai to launch his autobiography. And it's filmmaker Mani Ratnam who is all set to do the honours and be the chief guest at the event.
This has fuelled rumours that the first movie that'll see AR Rahman play the role of producer will be a film directed by Mani Ratnam! Well, let's hope Rahman's movies, like him, make it big even on the global platform, and they go all the way to the Oscars, Golden Globes and back.
